Secret Honey Do list!!!

I am hiding this list over on my craft blog so that Craig won't see it since it is my secret agenda to get him to make both of these items for me.  haha.  This first one is the cutest little playhouse that I have ever seen I pass it everytime we go to the Dentist office it is just down the street and I absolutely love it.  Now I know what you are thinking probably the same thing that he will be.  The kids are to old and they are boys.  Well I have a solution for that I am a girl and I love it and want it for me it could be my secret hideaway.  No Boys Allowed!  Wouldn't that be a fun little retreat I love it.  I am so jealous of the little girl who owns this fine piece of real estate heaven.

The other thing that I really want is a chicken coop.  I will have to have stuffed chickens in it since the dog would go crazy constantly over the chickens but isn't this the cutest little chicken coup.  Wouldn't it look super cute next to my play house.  I wonder if my mom still has my old barbies?  Maybe I am having a mid life crisis.  haha.



pinning

There seems to be a problem in our family lately and that is that the mom (me) is kind of addicted to pinterest.  Yes I am completely I love it there are so many fun things to make, build, dream about and cook that I just can't help looking and pinning practically everytime I pass the computer room I have to stop for just a quick visit.  It just doesn't seem to be so quick anymore.  On the bright side I have renewed my waning friendship with the kitchen.  Jacob is willing to try just about any meal as long as the recipe came from pinterest, and here is the big shocker he actually has liked everything that he has tried so far.  Don't tell him but I have actually told him that a couple of the old things I fix regularly and he refuses to try have come from there and he tried and likes those as well.  I have yet to try any of the crafts or paper projects but have started organizing my craft room so that I can get in there and then trying out some of those fun things will be next. 

So my first project to post pictures of was made by Craig.  He put these planters together that we had seen on Pinterest and planted flowers in them for me.  I love them they turned out so cute one of my friends asked me if I would mind if she copied them so I told her no they are an original idea of mine.  Just kidding I admitted that they were found online but I could use an extra pair so if hers come up missing hopefully she won't come snooping around my house:)



Dalek costume

I am putting Jacob's Dalek costume on here since it is crafty.  It took me four hours of fast and furious sewing to create this thing.  It is made out of felt and I built it from the feet up.  Not very smart I know but I wasn't sure how I was going to make the head so I figured I could think about it while I sewed the rest.  He needed it for a party at 630 I started sewing at 230 and he walked in the door of his party at 637 originally he had been planning to attend the party as the Doctor.  He wasn't going to be a dalek until halloween so I figured I had a couple of days to work.  I created it from a picture online no pattern just winging it with equal amounts of prayers and stupidity.  So I guess what I am saying is be kind. hehe.  All in all I think that it turned out pretty cute.  He is happy and I am glad.

The only thing that I made on Zach's costume is his sonic screwdriver and that is just a screwdriver some duct tape and a mini flashlight.  Craig won't let the real one out of the box so we had to improvise since no one wants to carry it in a box.  Who are we kidding he wouldn't even let them play with it in the box:)



Bracelets

I have discovered that I like bracelets just recently so I thought that I would try and make my own.  These are just very, very basic.  I liked it though and think that I will be branching out and onto bigger and better.  I know most people got into beading years ago.  What can I say.

Strapped bags

So these are my bags with shoulder straps added.  I didn't do the third one since the closest match I could get for the webbing was the disney red and I decided that I didn't really like the way that it looked.  The khaki bag I had to use brown webbing that matched the leather decorational straps on the front of the purse since that was the closest color that I could get to anything on the bag.  Overall I do think that I like the way that both of these turned out.  These two bags also both zip shut and the other bag did not. 

Not stamping but kind of Crafty?

So our trip to Florida is quickly approaching.  And I have decided i don't want to take my old grey backpack to carry around but I also haven't been able to find a bag that I like.  So I have decided to add a long strap to go over my neck and shoulder to some bags that I already have and love.  Then I will decide which one to take.

So here they are.

I figure they have to be finished by tomorrow so hopefully I will post back soon with the finished bags.



Birthday card

I started out with something completely different in mind.  While I don't love the way that this turned out I don't hate it either.  The green and orange is a color combo that I like right now.

This is just the same card as yesterday same colors and everything but I swapped the one paper out and did a green ribbon.  I like this one but do like the all pink ones just a little better.

I think I have been on a role.  A friend gave me the card that I copied to make this one.  I love it it's so cute.  I made extras cause I am running really low on my stash of cards so here are the two versions.  Same papers just swapped the ribbons out.  When I first gathered up supplies to make it I thought I would like the satin ribbon best.  Once it was finished I think I like the dot ribbon finished the best.

I love this penguin he is so cute.  I used turqoise and black only on this card I just liked the way that it looked.  I also added sparkleys to the plane cardstock at the top of the card but I couldn't pick them up on the photo.  Happy stamping.

Butterfly card

Not so sure that I am all that happy with the way that this card turned out but I have to start using up some of my paper blocks.  But while making it I had a wonderful idea.  Craig always wants to know what he can get me for gifts (mothers day, anniversary, birthday).  I was thinking maybe a warehouse in the backyard for my stamp stuff (and sewing to).  Just a small one about 800 sq feet on both levels so 1600 total and the upstairs can be for stamping and the downstairs for sewing.  Sounds good to me.  You can even use it for all three upcoming gifts haha.  I actually think I could promise not to ask for anything for the rest of the year. 

quilted table runner

Ok I admit I am partial to this but I love the way that it turned out.

I don't really want to cover it up with the candle that usually sits in the middle of the coffee table in the front room.  It is much cuter on its own but the candle is ok to I guess.



Ok this is the fabric for my next project.  Hopefully my next post on here will be the finished thing.  And with any luck it will be in the next day or two. 

Another owl...  I think I love them.  This is just a little tiny gift card.

I really liked the way that this card turned out.  Can you tell that I am on an owl kick?  Also I am really liking brown.  The button on this is really red to match the red paper but for some reason in the picture it looks orange. 

Don't you just love these birds.  I do.  I am debating swapping out the button for a flower though.

owl tag card

It has been a long time since I just sat down and stamped what I wanted cause I wanted to.  So today I did.  I need to get back into the habit of this again I have missed it.  I wanted to do a tag card and wanted to use orange.  Looking through my stamps I got hooked on this owl and couldn't see anything else.

I was originally going to add some olive but then the whole card was all orange and brown and didn't just want one thing in olive so I just finished it in orange and brown.

I like the way that it turned out and I think I might do some little tag cards with the little owl and some pinks maybe.

St Patrick's Day

These are what we did for the teachers for St Patty's day.  Yes I took it in my car cause on the way to school I realized that I hadn't taken a picture and wanted one for the blog.  I did pull over to the side of the road to take the picture though.  I got the boxes at target dollar spot.  They were so cute to begin with but then I added the flower and shamrock and we filled them with peppermint patties also decorated with shamrocks.

Ok so what do you think.  This is for someone I know getting ready to have their first baby.  I think I might take the pink flowers off and replace with white and then replace the pink ribbon with white instead.  The flowers look ok but I think that white would pop a little more.  The ribbon around the waist is close but I don't know if I really think it is close enough.  I think I will try white.
