Ok I hope that everyone had a great and Merry Christmas. We had a great one here. I am a little sad that it is all over now. Most years I feel relieved but this year I was sad to see it go. This is the last card that I will be posting from the boutique, it is done with one of my favorite stamp sets. The ballet one that retired a couple of years ago. I used versamark and chalk for both images, sorry you can't really tell with the plastic bag on it. I am actually feeling like I really want to get stamping again. Unfortunately the basement is such a mess right now with christmas that I probably won't be able to stamp for weeks. At least it feels that way. We got a Wii for christmas and Craig and the kids have been trying to burn it out ever since we got it. They started playing guitar hero on it today. I have to say they are fun to watch but myself I really don't enjoy playing the game. Well I hope that everything is going good for everyone and have a great New year. I will try and get something done and posted within the next couple of days. I am also going to update the kids blog.

One more card this is a favorite I really like brown and pink and of course the tag cards again. Have a quick joke my sister told me that I thought was funny.

I was going to send you something sexy for christmas......but the mailman told me to take the stamp off my butt and get out of the mailbox. Merry Christmas.

Thanks for looking.

Here are some gift card packages these were done without toppers and there are small gift tags in the back of the bag. A couple of years ago I did these for neighbor gifts with toppers and a couple of large cards as well. I really liked the way that they turned out and every year since have meant to do them again but haven't. How come time goes by so fast? Even when you aren't having fun ha. Hope everyone is having a good holiday even with the weather. We have been busy but having fun. thanks for looking.

Woo hoo I am on a role. Two posts two days in a row. Here is another card that was packaged for the boutique sorry the pictures aren't as good because of that. This is a tag card though which everyone who knows me knows is one of my favorite type of cards. Going to try and post another card or two tomorrow but right now the kids want their blog updated. thanks for looking.

I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted to this blog. Life is crazy I got involved with a boutique and have some cards to show that I did for that. I will be adding them over the next couple of days. I hope that everyones holidays are going well. We are loving it and very excited for Christmas. Our oldest son who is nine was still a believer until a couple of weeks ago, when he decided to go snooping. He found everything and looked through all of it. We decided that for the sake of our younger son we were going to have to burst his bubble and let him know what really goes on. At first he didn't want to believe me and when I insisted that what I was telling him was true he started crying. I feel awful about the whole thing we had been really excited thinking that we were getting at least one more year out of him before he found out the truth and then this happened. And of course we were completely done and he saw it all. I think that come christmas morning he is going to be very dissapointed when he knows everything that is under the tree for him. Oh well.

Ok two more pictures for tonight aren't these pictures amazing. I got these in an email from my mom they are from Butchart Gardens in B.C. Canada. Makes me really want to go here in the fall hope you enjoy.

Ok so it has been more than a week since I posted again. I've decided I am a bad blogger. Oh well add it to the list of all the other things that I don't do as well as I should. Ha ha. The kids finally went back to school today from uea break yeah. We didn't end up going anywhere fun we just stayed home and drove each other crazy. That can be just as fun though right. This is the only card that I have made so far with my very favorite stamp set out of the new catalog. And I can't believe that it took me this long to make one. I absolutely love the set but really struggle with ideas for it. I am not really even all that sure how much I like this card but Craig says that it is cute. So I am taking his word for it. You can't see in the picture but I did use dazzling diamonds in the eyes. My next big project will be to update the kids blog they have been bugging me to load a new picture on there for them. We have been fairly boring though lately and don't really have a lot to add. Craig and I are going to try and make it to Forks, Wa for a couple of days before the end of the year. I would like to see it after Jenn went and talked so highly of it. We are also going to try and find someone to dump he kids on for a couple of days so that we can make a quick trip to disneyland without them as well. Last time I went with the kids to Disneyland in March I threatened them that if they didn't quit fighting and get along I wouldn't renew their annual passes. And for once I stuck to my threat I guess that maybe it was kind of a mean thing to do but now that they don't have them I don't have to take them right. HEHEHE. We will renew them next year when renewing ours. They did get to go 11 and 12 times last year and Craig only went two times. Of course I went every time that anyone went I guess it really pays to be the mom sometimes. Anyway just don't want anyone thinking that Zach and Jacob are at all neglected I think they are actually quite spoiled. Well enough blah blah blah from me. Hope everyone is doing well. And thanks for looking at the card upload I will try to post the other two cards from stamp club as well. Forgot that I haven't added them yet.

ok if anyone is out there this is a sneak peak of one of the projects for club tonight. Isn't he cute. Jacob is upset that he isn't a penguin. I told him that when we start eating penguins for thanksgiving I will make a penguin. Just kidding, I didn't really say that to him. Hope to see you at club tonight and those of you with kids of for UEA Good Luck. I know I am going to need it.

  • Just a quick post, I found these cute bookmarks online. I saw them on splitcoast. Aren't they cute. The actual bookmark comes out of the sleeve and is on a popsicle stick I put the same flower on the other side and used the slit punch to slip the popsicle stick down inside the sleeve. I thought that these were so cute. Thinking of making a bunch of them for Halloween for the kids school classes, I'll see if I really feel that ambitious next time I am downstairs to stamp. I just finished 25 of the frankenstein cards for Craig to mail out to Halloween clients. They turned out cute but I did get tired of punching everything out. I decided it is easier to stamp in large amounts then make a bunch of punches for cards. Hope all is well for everyone and thanks for looking.

House of haunts card

Well here is the card that I wanted to post last week. So much for that idea. Hope everyone had a great one though. We did, my awesome husband cleaned both bathrooms for me. And majorly deep cleaned them both. He learned for himself that the boys really aren't very careful. Everyone has to learn sometime. I do really appreciate the clean bathrooms though. I have also been very busy drypacking hamburger meat, and making beef jerky. Today should be my last day and I should be done. I will have gone through about fifty pounds of beef. We should be set for a long while though. I love my drypack machine by the way. The kids are doing well in school and Zach has enjoyed having a foreign exchange student from Japan. It is a school project so he only has him at school which is even better for me. Just kidding, kind of well no not really. I wasn't sure about the way that this card turned out it wasn't exactly what I had pictured but now that it is done I really like it. Thanks for looking.
Recipe:
Paper: Ghostly greetings, Basic black, Pumpkin pie and Ballet blue
Stamps: House of haunts
Ink: Basic black
Other: Black brads, Die cut flowers, Pumpkin pie striped grosgrain ribbon and Black gingham ribbon, Scallop edge punch and buttons

Stamp Club project 2

A post two days in a row someone better write this down. Here is the other stamp club project. This was lifted from another blog as well, no original ideas of any sort this month. But I really liked this one, I have had these boxes around the house and wanted to use them for something and now I have. The are big enough to hold about 3-4 decorated cards and envelopes just perfectly. Or you can cut it in half and have two cute little baskets. I also used the new scallop edge punch from stampin up and then scored fence lines on each to make the fence you probably can't see that in the picture though. Thanks for looking.

Recipe:

Paper: Ghostly greetings, Confetti white and going grey

Ink: Elegant eggplant

Stamps: House of haunts

Other: Eggplant, olive and pumpkin 1/4 grosgrain ribbon, Wire, Summer sun and Pumpkin pie stampin write markers, Scallop edge punch.

stamp club project 1

Hello, thought I had forgotten about this blog didn't you. Well I thought that once the kids were in school I would have all sorts of time to myself. I do, but I guess the more time that you have the worse you are at managing it. At least for me that is how it seems to be. I don't know what I have been doing with the extra time. Not entirely anyway. I have been able to go to lunch with other people besides my kids and with out any in tow. Which I have enjoyed immensely and it is easy to lose track of time when they aren't constantly asking to go. But I will be better about the blog now. I am going to try and stamp at least one day a week while they are in school. I am looking forward to it. This is the card that we made in stamp club last week. I absolutely love it it is all punches and no stamping but I thought that it was the cutest thing that I had ever seen. I did lift it from another blog but don't remember which one. My husband actually really liked it as well which is saying something cause I usually don't get a whole lot of reaction out of him over my Crappin Up as he likes to refer to it. It's to bad that I don't find him as funny as he does. HAHA. My sister just got back from a trip to Forks Washington. She brought me a vampire shirt from the vampire capitol of the world. They are really cashing in on the books. But it does sound like a lot of fun, I am hoping to go there sometime as well. But for all of you twilight fans I guess that it is a fun little weekend trip. I will post the other project that we made in club tomorrow, I promise. I am off now to pick Zach up from school.

Recipe:

Paper: Old Olive, Basic Black, Whispering white and bordering blue.
Ink: Old olive (around the edges of the eyelids and nose.
Other: Round tab punch, 1-3/8 cir punch, 1-1/4 Cir punch, 3/4 cir punch, 1/2 cir punch, eyelets and black stamp and write marker.

Thanks for looking.

I made packages of cards for my dad for his work. And these are the finished product. I have been busy trying to get these done and I made sure that I made plenty of each so that I actually have some left over cards for myself now. I always like the way that they look when they are all put together with toppers on them. I did get a a kind of cool embossing thing in Florida that is Disney so I will play with it in the next couple of days and load some pictures. Thanks for looking.

Here is another card that I made this set is one of my favorites and I really like old olive and tempting turqoise.

We are home from our trip to florida we had a lot of fun. I have updated the kids blog if you are interested.

thanks for looking.

Hello, haven't posted in a few days I have meant to just been busy trying to get my hours in for work before we leave town tomorrow night. Craig has been out of town for over a week now for work and we miss him terribly, but the boys and I are also very excited to be going to Orlando tomorrow night. We can hardly wait. We are just going for the water parks there at Disney. Should be lots of fun. I have a couple of more pics to add I will try and add them before we leave. This card is using one of my favorite su colors tempting turqoise although I have to admit that most of them are my favorite. I also used some fun glitter on the tail. Wish I was a peacock after all the bigger the better for them right. I would fit right in. Oh well. Thanks for looking. And we love you daddy.

Here is my other disney card this one was made with my sister Jenn in mind she loves eeyore and loves purple. The background stamp that I used is one that every time I have it out Jacob tells me looks like eeyores favorite thing Thistles. So naturally it is the stamp that I thought of. Craig left town for Vegas this morning for balloon camp and then a trade show. While we are sad that he left it also puts the trip that me and the boys are taking to Florida that much closer. We can hardly wait. Jenn is coming on the trip as well and we know it will be hot and will stay in thewater park the whole time. This is of course driving Craig crazy, he can't stand the fact that we are going all the way to Disney world and not going to spend any time in the actual parks. But we aren't really interested in the heat along with the crowds. Jenn and I took the kids last Aug (when he was on this same trip) to disneyland and it was hot and crowded. The water park will probably be crowded but we are hoping not as bad as the park and it should at least be cooler. thanks for looking.
Ok I have disney on the brain can you tell. I have had this tinkerbell stamp for awhile and never used it. I really dont like to color things in as you all know so I didn't. She is stamped in blue and then I used dazzling diamonds on her the colors come from a tinkerbell beach towel that I have so I used the color combos from there. Some day I think that I will do a magic card using her. But not until I am really in the mood to color her. Thanks for looking.

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days I have meant to but haven't. I can't believe that the summer is almost over less than a month and the kids go back to school yeah. Craig is getting ready to go out of town, he will be leaving on Wed. for the rest of the month. It will be hard the boys miss him and this always makes Aug a long month. But in two weeks we will be going to Florida to play at the water parks. We can hardly wait. The kids want to leave tomorrow but we are hoping it will be less crowded by the end of the month since the kids in Florida go back to school the middle of the month. My mom and a friend came over on Tuesday to stamp and I stamped a couple of new cards here is one of them. Those of you who don't know we are huge disney fans or freaks (however you want to look at it) in our house. I haven't made any disney cards in awhile and wanted to I used some classic pooh stickers that I had and stuck them to white cardstock and then punched out around them. I think that it turned out kind of cute, but Craig just grunted when I showed it to him, oh well I guess that we can't all be interested in cards. Thanks for looking.

Recipe:

Paper: bashful blue, old olive, certainly celery, whisper white and cutie pie

Stamps: wonderful words

Other: scallop punch, 1 3/8 circle punch, bashful blue striped grosgrain ribbon, brilliant blue ink, brads, paper clip, staples and pop dots

photo cube

Nothing much happening here, we are all looking forward to the long weekend. Now I can listen to Craig fighting with the kids haha. Last night we watched the kids favorite new show Wipeout. It is kind of funny they love it. They have started playing it around the house. For the most part this isn't a problem but the other day they were trying to figure out how to make their own sweeper, I put a damper on the fun when I said no. They also think that it would be funny to make the other throw up while playing since a week ago someone did on the show after going on the dizzy dummy. But exciting new games aside everything else is the same. Today is Craig's moms birthday so I put together this photo cube for her. I just love these. This is all various stampin up stuff no stamps though just paper and extras. All the pictures are from the trip we took to Florida in Nov/Dec of last year they are some of my favorites. I am hoping to take the kids back the end of Aug. just for three days. We will spend it in the water parks to hot there for much else. Craig will be out of town for various shows almost all month, I was thinking this would give the kids something to look forward to and help with that time. We are going to take Aunt Jenn with us. Should be fun. Hopefully the weather and everything will work out. Well the kids are waiting for me to kick their butts in Uno. Thanks for looking.

smile card

Ok I think I am on a role I have stamped almost everyday over the past few days. No one in my house appreciates it but me though. Oh well I'm having fun. A friend let me copy a card that she got from another friend in the mail for her birthday. I did copy it but then used it for someone else meaning to recreate it before I forgot. I think that I may also have saved a picture of it somewhere but obviously somewhere safe since now I can't locate it. This is the basic idea of the other card I just changed it a little and used different colors. The back of the card is also blush blossom with a matted piece of ruby red for the flower. Didn't do the whole back in ruby red cause I wanted the card to look a little more uniform when closed. The circle punch with the flower on it is also on the front of the card instead of inside like the rest. It is just attached with glue dots. Thanks for looking.

Recipe:

Paper: ruby red, groovy guava and blush blossom

Ink: ruby red, sahara sand and whisper white

Stamps: big flowers, wonderful words and little pieces

Other: groovy guava ribbon, copper brads, flower and bead from pretties kit, circle punch, corner tabs, scallop circle and glue dots

Friend tag card

We are one more day closer to back to school, everyone that can hardly contain themselves say I. I now know what my mom went when she said she looked forward to us going back to school. I can't believe how much fighting goes into playing video and computer games, and the kids wonder why I hate them so much. We don't allow them to play during the school year only on spring, winter and summer breaks and there is a very noticable difference in attitudes and the way that they treat each other. Maybe I will just ban them all together hmmm that sounds great. Well I can dream can't I. I am loving the tag card so I made another one this morning this is using some of the new paper that is coming out in the new catty. I am always sad to see the old in color choices go but always love the new ones. These are no different then the past I just love them. Thanks for looking.

Recipe:

Paper: Bella rosa designer paper (new), ruby red, glossy white, pind pirouette and kiwi kiss (both new)

Ink: versamark and chocolate chip

Other: Chocolate twill tape, brads, ruby red stampin write marker, dazzling diamonds and the tab punch.

Unfrogettable diagonal tag

Here is the other card from stamp club. Oh and the link to the boys blog templeofdisneyfans.blogspot.com this is their name choice they really like Indian Jones. The music is all theirs also.

Recipe:

Stamps: Unfrogettable

Paper: Flowers for you, tempting turqoise, certainly celery, regal rose, lovely lilac and whisper white

Ink: basic black

Other: silver brads, staples, rose grosgrain ribbon and olive twill tape, tag corner punch and flower punch oh and don't forget pop dots.

Just for you tag card

Craig and I went and saw Dark Knight this morning, and while it was very good it was very long. It's been awhile I guess since I have seen a movie all the way through. Usually I get a break or two or three during any movie that we go and see. Funny how Jacob can hold it all day until you get in a dark movie theater. But today I realized that I have gotten used to those breaks maybe almost as much as he has. The movie was very good though and Heath Ledger was extremely good in it just like they have been saying. So I thought and Christian Bale makes a very cute caped crusader also. Our newest T.V. show that we are watching here at home (Craig and I) is a BBC comedy called the Vicar of Dibley. It is very funny we are on a priest kick the last show was called Father Ted that is now one of my favorites right behind Keeping up Appearances and Mr. Bean. Well enough about tv and movies, here is the first card from stamp club on thursday night. I always forget how much I like tag cards until I make them again. I do like the way that they turn out and I really like this one as well. I struggle with using the designer papers, I love them all and own almost all of them as well but never really use them once I have them. I think that I will try and use them a little more often after these cards though. Thanks for looking.

Recipe:

Paper: Cutie Pie, certainly celery, bashful blue and whisper white

Inks: Basic black and purely pomegranate

Stamps: Bud basics, just for you is from Sock monkey (sorry available next month)

Other: silver brads, certainly celery grosgrain ribbon, round tab punch, word window punch, corner rounder and pop dots.

photo cube

Ok I was going to finish making the projects for stamp club this morning, but as you can see I didn't. Isn't this the cutest thing I just love it. I found it online and now can't find the blog spot that I found it at. When I do I will figure out how to link it for you. The base that I made didn't fit so I will have to make another one. But the kids are bugging me to get in the pool and they think that I have stamped long enough today. KIDS!!!! Oh well so here it is I used the summer picnic paper and then coordinating papers and ribbons. This is super easy and I still am really impressed with how cute it is, can I say that one more time. I will get projects for stamp club posted here in the next day or so also. Thanks for looking.

Unfrogettable flowers for you

Ok here is my second card I guess it should have gone after the last post. Oh well, those of you who know me are just surprised I have done this much with a blog I know. Yes Jenn I am referring mostly to you. I have never really known how to use the double paper clips so this idea came to me today I think that it is different but looks ok. I used my new scallop punch from stampin up on this card and I love this punch. Well thanks for looking and I am off to finish getting ready for stamp club tomorrow.

Recipe:

Paper: Flowers for You, tempting turqoise, mellow moss and whisper white

Stamps: Unfrogettable (this is one of my very favorite stamp sets)

Other: flower fusion, hodgepodge hardware, basic black ink, pastels, blender pens, scallop edge punch and old olive twill tape (I stocked up on the olive and brown twill tape while it was in the mini cause I just love the way that it looks)

Thanks for looking

Sock Monkey

I haven't posted anything in a while I haven't really had the time to stamp anything new lately. But this morning I woke up wanting to spend some time stamping so I did. While the kids fought over who had more time on the play station I tried to tune them out as much as possible and I stamped. Jacob did finally decide that he wanted to stamp also, so he helped some and then made his own cards. I actually got two different ones made today that has to be a record. Can't wait till school starts, then maybe I can get a few more done in a sitting. This first card is with the new sock monkey set that is going to be in the new catalog, I think we can show them off already. I did run out of brad in the hodgepodge hardware so I had to use some that were just from the craft store but as close as I could get. Thanks for looking.

Ribbon: artichoke, mustard and real red

I'm getting ready for open stamp here at the house tonight. Very excited actually I have wanted to spend a lot more time stamping lately and this gives me an excuse to make Craig watch the kids and for me to have some uninterrupted stamping hopefully. I made these cards the other day and aside from a couple of very sore thumbs from all of the punching I think that they turned out pretty cute. I can't remember which blog I originally saw them on but I did case them from another. I ended up making 10 of each cause I liked them so much. Don't know what I am going to do with 50 but my kids always want cards and they are also cute cards to give to kids. The hardest part of this card though is the corner rounding there is so much of it and I could only find an old rounder that I have that isn't the greatest. I think that I will definately invest in a new one. I put a paper clip on the bottom corner of each just for the pic.

Stamp set: Tart N Tangy
Paper: only orange, yoyo yellow, whisper white, real red, glorious green, pink passion, green galore and gable green
Inks and markers: pink passion, green galore, yoyo yellow, only orange, real red and glorious green
Punches: 1 3/8 circle punch, 1 1/4 circly punch, scallop punch and corner rounder
Also used: popsicle sticks I did chop mine in half and only use half on each card

This card is for my mom she wanted some cards out of the Woodland Cottage set. I brought the set to my house to play with and this is the first card that I have made for her. I am not a big fan of watercolor but think that this one didn't turn out to bad. Of course this is just a sample for her and I am sure that with a little bit more time spent on watercoloring she will make it look fabulous. I do like the way that the card turned out but I also have a fixation with eggplant and artichoke. This is all stampin up product. Thanks for looking.

Stamps: Woodland Cottage

paper: Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, Elegant Eggplant, Ivory

Ink: basic black, Always Artichoke

eggplant grosgrain ribbon, mellow moss satin ribbon, silver brads, blender pens, pastels

Here is my stamp club project from last night I really do like the way that it turned out although I was a little nervous at first. I wasn't sure that I liked the colors after it was all said and done. But I have decided that what I don't like about it is the bright yellow sticky notes. So I will have to go out and buy a different color but that was all that I had on hand and since I tend to procrastinate I had to use it. I did leave it on for the picture though so that you knew that was what it was for. The calendar is only attached to the paper under it with the two brads at the bottom. I did it this way so that you can trade it out every month. Brads are only at bottom and then it is just stuck under clip. The only problem with this project was getting the paper around the clip at the top. Not my favorite part of the project, but we all managed with only a few casualties.
Stamps: Background basics, calendar
Paper: Whisper white, Basic black, Wild wasabi, Purely pomegranate
Ink: Purely pomegranate
Punches: 3 for you, 5 petal punch, Spiral punch
also used large flower and rhinestone brad from pretties kit, clear buttons, black brads, flower fusion and pumpkin pie striped grosgrain ribbon.

Ok here is the last card that I made using this set, I confess this is my favorite it is also my first acetate card. Well second I did case another one but this is my own creation so its still my first kind of right? These cards are so much fun to make and I really like the way that they turn out. The card is acetate, Elegant eggplant, Lavender lace, Not quite navy and Whisper white. Elegant eggplant, Not quite navy classic ink Whisper white craft ink. The white is stamped on the acetate itself, this is the only thing that I don't like about these cards is that it takes so long for the ink to dry on the acetate. And you still have to be careful with it even after it has dried I find that it still smears very easily. The background is by definition and the cat set again, sorry can't remember the name of it. The ribbon on this card is just a silver ribbon from joannes but I have also made it with a double wrap of the silver cording from stampin up in this case I actually prefer this ribbon though. The flower is an old discontinued flower punch from stampin up as well but I don't have the name to it anymore. Small flower in center is from the three for you punch. I also used the rhineston brad from the pretties kit. I really like the pretties kit but find that I use up all of the flowers and not so much of the other stuff. I need to work on this I am on my third kit for flowers. My stamp club meets tomorrow night so I am off to finish my projects with any luck I will have them posted in the next couple of days.

My husband says I need a picture box, and I promise to get one but in the mean time this is my pictures. Papers that I used are More mustard, Elegant eggplant and Old olive. The Old olive paper has been split and crumpled and then I stamped on the textured side. Elegant eggplant ink. Olive felt flower, mustard ribbon, flower from pretties kit died eggplant and Antique brass hodgepodge hardware. Oh I almost forgot the spiral punch, one of my favorites. This one is with my favorite cat set again it is retired but still good. Funny I can't stand cats but love this set.

Ok here it is my first card to post to my blog. Sorry so long in coming, but after setting this up originally I had some computer problems and then the flu passed thru the whole family. This cat set is one of my favorites I know it is retired but I have had a lot of fun pulling it out and using it again. The card is tempting turquoise, old olive and flowers for you. You can't really tell from the picture, but the paper that the cat itself is stamped on is the turquoise paper from flowers for you, it has little flowers printed on it in a slightly different shade of the color. The ink is taken with teal I stamped off for it first. Ribbon is the narrow twill tape I also stamped the meow stamp on it. the 5/8" old olive grosgrain ribbon. I also used silver brads, small old olive buttons and a small flower from the pretties kit died turquoise.

This is one of my favorite pictures of my boys. I think it shows a little of their true personalities. We spent two weeks in Disneyworld with the whole family in Dec 2008. It was a great trip and we had so much fun. We are very greatful for the fun times and opportunity. And I am greatful for all of the photos to help preserve the memories.
